tuning a turbo?

On one of these threads someone mentioned that after you get your turbo set up that you need a dynotune and not just a reflash on a tuner or new chip. If one were to get the wideband to go with the tuner would there still be the need to have it dyno tuned? Don't they just view and tune the A/F mixture when you do a run on the dyno? If Justin can take the info from my wideband(if i had one) could he just do a custom program to match my car?
Any disadvantages on how one chooses to tune their car?

Re: tuning a turbo?

I think I'd rather have an actual dyno tune done to make sure the car runs right in the first place.

Re: tuning a turbo?

I have worked with a lot of guys who don't have dynos anywhere near them, for hundreds of miles, so its not an option.

What I do is sell them an X2 and LC-1 wideband, costs around $700 including the tuning. They gather a/f and OBD2 data on the street according to my instructions, email it back to me, and I email them new tunes. Just like a dynotune but over the internet, a remote tune.
