True Duals Installed Today

Well, I am very pleased with the setup I had installed. I purchased Flowmaster Force II 2.25" tail pipes w/ 2.5" polished tips and 40 series delta flow mufflers. I purchased everything through Summit for $238.00. I took it to a local shop that was recommended in my area and he charged me $80.00 total to do the install and build a custom H-pipe. He first installed everything by cutting off the Y-pipe after the CATs w/o the H-pipe cross connect and it had a popping noise went reving the engine. He recommended making it a true H-pipe to equalize the pressure and it would get rid of the popping. So I told him to go ahead. After he was done, it sounds great. It's not too loud where it would be annoying over long drives, yet it has a very aggressive sound under acceleration. I would have liked the idle to sound louder, but if I got rid of the CATs, that would probably make it idle louder.

Now driving it around I defintly noticed some head turns as I drive by now. I even had someone stop me at the grocery store to ask if I swapped the engine. He noticed the bumber was a V6 style, but he thought it sounded like a V8. I personally have heard a GT with 40's and it's close, but I can tell it's a V6.

hey, if you notice, you have four cats with 4 oxygen sensors. unless you wanna reprogram your cpu you're gonna have to leave at least two cats on. i've tried this and it works if you cut off the last cat on each side right after the oxygen sensor.

from what i hear the original 40s are louder then the deltas, and takin out the cats will fail u for emissions. someone from my local car club got pulled over for have an o/r crossover with dumps, and from what everyone is saying the maximum fine for carb laws are like 5000$ but no cats will make it a lot louder.
i have dual flow 40s (original) with a pacesetter h-pipe and gt take-offs and my exhaust sounds great
