Maybe?

Does anyone think I can make into the 12's with 2 1/4" dual exhaust belching exhaust from a complete intercooled TMA turbo race kit at 10 psi , all necessary fuel upgrades, Detroit tru trac t-lock, 42% underdrive pulley, and last and most important, blue SPARK PLUG WIRES< 9mm no less?

Re: Maybe?

I'd imagine it'd be better to run bigger exhaust on a turbo setup...

Re: Maybe?

It would but I've already got this exhaust on so it's just going to have to work. The ideal exhaust for the kit is just a 3" dump with a hi flow cat, so I'm hoping even with all the bends, the split in duals, the length, two mufflers, but no cats I will be able to make up for it a little bit because overall I'll have 1 1/2" more space. I know it wont work that way but I can hope.

Re: Maybe?

You need 3" atleast I would think... 2 1/4 is way to damn small... backpressure will own your top end

Re: Maybe?

Don't tell me that. Once I do something I don't like to think about having to redo it. Here's the deal, a 2001 with almost 100,000 miles, auto, like mine, with 4:10's (which suck bad for turbos), stock tires, but does have just the 3 inch dump, at 10.5 psi, made 330 rwhp. How would mine compare?

Re: Maybe?

Your power will drop off greatly as your rpms climb (Compared to what it would be if your engine could "breath" with 3" exhaust)

Re: Maybe?

But d a m n, will 3" fit good looping up over the axle? It's kind of tight in there.

Re: Maybe?

turbo dual exhaust seperates at a different place, usually up under the firewall. then you just run straights all the way back

Re: Maybe?

Andy includes a y pipe that goes from the turbo to the exhaust I've already had put on. When I have somebody weld that up, I'll just have 'em delete my cats and that will be as close to strait as I'll ever get. I can't stand the sound of that on any car, and if I don't like the sound of no cats I'm gonna put hi flows on. I't's all about style. I guess if back pressure is just really atrocious, I'll have to do something.
