HID's

Ok, so I'm doing a lot more night driving since I got promoted and I'm thinking of HID's. American Muscle has a kit of 8000k lights but they say not to use them with projector's. Everything I've ever read said that if you get HID's you should get projector's. Here's a link to the kit. Which route should I go?

Re: HID's

I just installed mine, however I purchased the dual beam kit through Stangmods and I went with 8000K. However, although the low beams look great and light up the road very well the High beams are not working at all. Any idea why this would be happening? It was an easy 45 min install, probably could of been quicker, but my cold air kit was giving me issues when I mounted the passenger side balast. I would do it, but make sure you get dual beams as I will most likely have to trouble shoot these or have some tech help either from them or on here. I was considering selling them since they have been sitting, but I wouldn't want to do that now that I know the high beams aren't right. I'm not an a##hole like that. Any help is appreciated, but my advice is do it as they look great.

Re: HID's

retrace your work and see if its something simple (check every step dont assume you did it) and if its still not working contact the seller and go from there about known issues etc

Re: HID's

Will do thanks. I have contacted the seller and I'm hoping that it is just something that I didn't do, but I cant' seem to find out what that would be especially since the low beams are working. But I will check on it over the weekend.

Re: HID's

isnt there a separate ballast for high beams vs low beams? could be that is not transferring power~

Re: HID's

There are two ballasts, whether one is for the high beams you got me cuz I don't know, but there are definitely two ballasts. I have sent an email and left a voicemail with them, and they are normally pretty good at getting back, but as long as the low beams work for now I'm fine, but I would like to take care of this asap.
