Whats wrong?

As of a week ago my car was running great and sounded great. Well over the weekend I discovered I needed a new water pump put in my car so I had it done. Now the car runs fine, but the exhaust sounds different. I have true duals with Flowmaster 40s Series at the tail. The left pipe has good compression and sounds fine, but the right pipe has a weak compression and almost sounds as though it has a "putt" to it. I know this may not be a huge problem but if something in the slightest is wrong with my car I hate it. BTW I have a 2000 V6 stock besides the exhaust.

Also, since I am posting already, I have to get new tires shortly. I have the 2000 V6 aluminum polished wheels and after much research I concluded that I was the BF Goodrich g-Force series for $79 was my best choice. It is a 16" wheel, but I want a tire with a summer tread for better handling. Just to consider all options, I live in southern Ohio where rain is occasional but the past two winters haven't been to snowy. Does anyone know if this is a good tire for the conditions or if it is a good tire in general? Thanks for all the help, greatly appreciated.

Re: Whats wrong?

Well, before I replaced the water pump it did. Now I put my hand on the right pipe and a few drops of water (dirty) did appear on my hand whereas that didnt happen on the left pipe.

Re: Whats wrong?

Hmm, their are a few possibilities. An exhaust leak would be the most likely thing, but if you don't have an h-pipe or something, you could have something like a blown head gasket. Start from the back of the exhaust and work your way forward up to the head.

Re: Whats wrong?

try taking the rubber hose connected to your coolant reservoir and submerge the tip in a cup of water. Start your car up and see if it makes bubbles in the cup. If you do then it's a possibility you have a blown head gasket like 97stallion was saying.
If you have a stethoscope available you can touch it to the pipes and listen for any leaks.
or if you're like my brother it could just be paranioa. lol...
