Re: portmatch and valve job questions

heads/intake ported good with a good custom cam generally puts single ports around 190-200rwhp~ (manual with other bolt on mods, perhaps long tubes)

I know people that build and stroke them (4.3L's) end up around 230rwhp~

Re: portmatch and valve job questions

3 angle valve job is normally between 90$-150$ depending on the machine shop. Having them cleaned is normally about 20$ depending if you need new valve guides, have worn valves, bent valves, seats, etc, price gets more expensive.

Make sure you know what your doing when porting, I've seen a few times people who 'know' what they are doing end up hurting performance more than helping.
