where to cut the springs?

I know this has been done before but i don't have time to find the old thread.
in the pic are the springs that come with the bullitt suspension package.
I want a good 1.4" drop all around. I would hate to cut brand new springs but i need it to be lower then 7/8".

can someone please tell me where to make the cut. maybe put a line on it using paintshop or something:dunno:

or is there an alternative like leaving out an isolator instead of cutting them?
I have a huge test to study for tonight so hopefully i can install them tomorrow if i have time.
thanks for your help.

Ok, what you need to look at is where the isolator is. Take that off, see where the spring is tighly coiled right there? That is the part everyone talks about cutting off. I cut a full coil off my front and 1/2 off the back....but yeh, I dunno what to recommend to you.

Re: where to cut the springs?

I believe you still cut the side with the isolators on them....you might wanna wait and see if someone else chimes in, been a few months since I did mine and I can't picture it anymore.

Re: where to cut the springs?

ok i took a lot more pics of the side with the isolators taken off. i'm not sure how much is considered a full coil. it's hard to aproximate where the coil ends at a good point to cut.
please help.

Re: where to cut the springs?
