Re: EGR delete concerns

Well when you delete the EGR with a tune, it will turn the whole EGR system including the DPFE sensor which is a headache on these cars. They are always setting off a check engine light.

Re: EGR delete concerns

Does anybody know how the computer calculates the injector pulse width if the DPFE is removed? Does the tune just assign a default value or what?

not sure how it calculates the injector pulse. but when you remove it and turn off the EGR withthe tune it should take care of the DPFE

Re: EGR delete concerns

thank you for the help. I'm waiting for my chip to come back. but another question. ZEb refered to the egr inlets in the lower manifold on splitports, i was curious if those could be removed rather than shaved?

Re: EGR delete concerns

yea those are the egr inlets. when porting grind them down as far as possible and then fill with some jb weld and then grind smooth. this way your runners are a smooth as possible.
