I am not really sure what you are talking about could you be more clear on your current situation?
For 10k... hmmm you could get a 98 cobra in good shape IF you looked around a good bit.

It sounds to me like he broke some stuff and the dealership wants to charge him 15k to fix it. Sounds like the car is paid off, and he figures that if it is going to take 15k to fix and old V6, then why not look into something else.
My though, 15k is too much for any repair on a 2000 V6....unless you are doing a nice motor swap I would say shop around for something good. You should be able to pick up a 2000+ GT for 10-15k these days. Dealers probably want 15-20k for them, but if you shop around the private sales, you can get some great deals. Go for a 2000+ GT or even a 99 or 01 cobra which could probably be had for about 15k or a little more about now in a private sale.

But it also sounds like some supports are gone as well. If the attachment points are dead or dying, then I can understand the high price tag not to mention the rediculous labor that dealers charge. Being a 2000, it is out of warrantee for sure, so they will definitely bend you over the barrel. Either way, it just seems like way more than is needed to spend on a 2000 v6.

I believe that's 15k for another car they're trying to push on him rather than fix the problem with the car he's got now. that's too bad man, but you can a get a much better car than a 2000 v6 for 15k. Do some shopping locally first, then try the classifieds in some local big cities.

Yeah brotha don't pay that price you should be able to get you a good stang for less than that. Look into a private sell and you could get a nice fox body for cheap and then use the rest of that kinda cash to make it a real demon

sorry I hav'nt been on for a while but yeah im back.
so here it is at first the car was 8k and he gave me a three month warranty about a month that i had the car it started running like s#$% the rear end so i did'ne want to risk anything so I stopped driving for a while so I called the dealership and they came to get it they said that the supports gave out and the axles are gone so they wanted to charge 15k with repairs I told them that I had the warranty and they said that it was ware and tare on the car and they thought that I was attatched to the car so I would pay that hell no so what do you think im talking to the dealership right know and I only paid about three grand as a down payment and I have the money to pay for the rest of it which is the 15k but I think I can get a better stang don't you think.

With 15k$ Use it as a Down on a 2005 and get a small 5k loan, pay it off in 2 years. Then you got new everything.
