50k is nothing. Keep up normal maintenance and all will be well.

Re: young stang?

Mine is sitting with 56,000 on the clock (bought at 17K)...have not had one problem, mechanical or otherwise...knock on ****in wood, lol. Only issues I've ever had were my own fault

50,000 is probably considered low mileage to a few on here...I know a lot of members are running stangs with 100K+ miles...nothing wrong with that, just goes to show that mustangs still run strong past 100K miles.

Re: young stang?

My 2003 just went over 85,000 and it runs better than ever. Just remember to always use synthetic oil every time you change your oil and your car should run for a long time without any problems.

Re: young stang?

its all about how well you take care of it. If you neglect it and treat it like crap... dont get mad when it breaks. If you take care of your vehicles they last far longer. Some just dont know about regular upkeep...

take for example transmission fluid. You are supposed to change it every 15-20k miles in an auto.. but most never do.

Re: young stang?

198,000 still goin strong. car's been sprayed, @ the track with slicks doin launches @ 3500 rpm. only major things i've done is replace the rear end and new clutch. tranny is still holding. and the only reason i put a new 8.8 was to upgrade,i still have my 7.5 just encase the 8.8 decides to blow on me.

just keep routine maitenance and don't abuse your car like i do and you should be fine.

i will warn ya. 02 sensors may go bad around 150k. but thats not too big of a deal.
