2.8L stroker

This is mostly for RGR

What all does building a 2.8 stroker involve, i know its a crank, rods, and pistons, but does the displacement also include the overbore of the cylinders? Also, does the bottom end of the block need to be clearanced to accomodate the longer crank throw? Say someone were to build a similar setup for a street car, a 2.8 street engine, what would be the overall cost of the shortblock roughly?

My TC needs a rebuild, and if im doing a shortblock, id like to research and explore some options.

My guy here in T.H. did this, it was a welded stroker (stock) crank and
.030" overbore I believe. It made more HP at 6K than an Esselinger setup
at 8K if I remember correctly...

Your other Q's, I do not know, but I'll be talking to the machinist soon and
if you email me we can get you more details.
