Headliner and Sunroof Question

I have a 2000 v6 Mustang that has what i believe to be an AFTERMARKET sunroof. One of the problems I had with this was that one side of the sunroof wasnt shut all the way so where i took it to get fixed said they didnt know how so they glued it shut so it wouldnt leak anymore. How the hell do i fix/get that fixed? Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Next is the headliner. It appears that one of the hanger clips broke and now the whole passenger side of the headliner hangs! How can i fix/get this fixed? Basically I dont know what sort of shop would do this kind of stuff. Also in the front of the headliner up by the windshield, that is hanging as well.. WTF?!?! Again any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Headliner and Sunroof Question

You are correct on aftermarket - the coupes of that year never had a sunroof as an option.

The best way to get it all fixed would be to take it to a shop that does custom sunroofs, they'd be able to come up with some fix - if it were my car I'd take it to a body shop, and get pricing on a filler panel/head liner and get rid of the sunroof altogether

Putting a sunroof into a vehicle not designed for it takes away from the structural integrity of the roof. Also, the roof of a SN95 is curved and it's hard to find a sunroof that matches the curve to not take away from the looks.

I've never seen a sunroof on a SN95 or new edge that actually fit into the car...

Re: Headliner and Sunroof Question

about all you can really do is replace the current sun roof with a newer one and put some subframe connectors on the car (full length weld in) to keep the integrity there so the roof doesnt flex and cause issues down the road (leaks)

the sun roof went out in the fox bodies before 94, odd but NO mustang since from the factory has had a sunroof option from ford. About as close as you get is the 09+ glass roofs.
