Running the V-6

Went to Las Vegas Motor Speedway last night for Midnight Mieham 6 runs. I was in the left lane all night. 17 Gals of 91 (wife filled tank to the cap) 15lbs in right rear tire (no posi) Air temp 55 with 15mph head wind (it's always windy there at night)
05STANG
4.0 auto
Y pipe duals
Heavy wheels and tires 18x9.5
with all add ons and sound system 300 extra lbs?

L .308 1/4 19.395 R .773 15.985 Tire spin all the way after burn out / last time for that...

Best run with cold engine

Best run ever new on stock tires 15.330 @ 91

you really got to work on that 60ft, and run the cheap gas it will do better.

Are you advising him to run the cheaper gas cause he dont have a tune for 91 octane?

if the car is not tunned for the gas then dont run it. If the car is tunned for XX octane then run it.

I don't mormaly run 91 but lately it seems quality has gone down, I ping on 87 and sometimes on 89? depends on the station not the brand out here.

if you ping then you probably should run a higher grade to stop it. I would get it tunned ans set it up how you want to be safe when you get the chance.
