Re: what to expect?

That's a good sized cam. I would most definitley open the exhaust of your car up before putting something with a 220 duration in. If I were you I would email RGR, rdmotorsport.com, or either RPMmsuatngs.com or supersixmotorsports.com and see what they all have to say.

Imho, its not a cam to be using in a stock car with stock heads and stock exhaust

Re: what to expect?

What are your future plans for the car?

If you are going to add ported intakes & heads in the future that cam may disappoint you.

Re: what to expect?

Large cams are tricky. You must have a Intake and head package to go along with it. The fact is with just installing a large cam on a stock engine can actually cause you to loose HP and get crappy gas mileage.

Re: what to expect?

I would be getting he stage 2+ powerpak from super six, when i asked him i forgt i asked the question about thier package.

What would a good size cam be for stock engines o get good performance out of it? A friend of mine as an 01 stang, and was just wondering what kind of cam would give him some performace without buying a whole powerpak. he has a manual also, dual exhaust from y pipe.

Re: what to expect?

you can get a cam that will work on a stock engine,

But if you upgrade later to heads & intakes you may not have the best total setup.

If you are going with supersix then I suggest you discuss your plans for the car etc with Tom.
He will spec you out a nice package.
