Hey Guys!

I'm new here, my name is Tim and I am 20 years old, living in Orlando, FL. I am getting a 2006 v6 stang very soon, it's satin silver, and a 5 speed. Just wondering, what beginning mods I should do...I already have in mine, bbk air intake, and flowmaster exhaust. But what else should I start out with? Thank you! =)

Yeah, I saw that..but I can't find pulleys for an 06 v6 anywhere...and I am guessing for the gears to get 3.73?

Re: Hey Guys!

You'll probably find that even after getting a CAI, you'll need a tune. Most CAI's for the 05+'s require a tune so the car doesn't run too lean. If you buy a CAI that doesn't require a tune, it is most likely not going to be as effective.

The 05+'s are very sensitive regarding air/fuel...that's why many manufacturers require a tune after install. If you install a CAI that requires a tune and don't tune it, you could damage your engine.

It's worth it to buy a decent CAI and get a tune...the gains for the 4.0 v6's are way better than for the pre 05 v6's.

Re: Hey Guys!

go to Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle they have underdrive pullies sct and diablosport tuners 3.73 ring and pinion tloks intakes and short throw shifters.

And if you ask what shifter to get be prepared to get opinions you just have to deside if you want a real smooth shift which is the mgw shifter or if you want a harder shift which is the steeda tri ax and probably pro 5.0.

When it comes to tuner get one that makes custom tunes not preloaded.

When getting the gears get the ford racing ones. I'm pretty sure you got a 7.5 rear end.

pullies i would get the bbk ones because they are a little cheaper.

They will be tunes specifically for your car, based off what you want. You could do a dyno tune if you wanted, though a dyno tune isn't really necessary for a v6 with bolt ons.
