Manual for v6

I was wondering if i should stick with the auto or go with a manual trans? I am planning on doing the one of the power paks and maybe eventually a turbo, headers and exhaust. I was wondering which standard trans will bolt up to a 2001 v6 if i go that way.

well its probably best to sell your car and buy another one to do this, but if you plan to rip out and rebuild the motor its not going to make it to much worse to put in a manual trans.

If its a 99-04 then a T-5 if what you want.

Re: Manual for v6

mustangs from 94-04 have had a T-5 in them from ford. The issue is some have a digital read tail shaft for MPH vs gear driven (swapped to digital in 99) so FYI on that, you can swap tail shafts if need be but just look for one thats digital.

Re: Manual for v6

Well, I agree that maybe you should sell that one and buy a manual. Now, if you insist on tearing down the one you have then I would still go with a manual. I have never owned a automatic. I enjoy having total control over the car.
