question

Hey all, jsut wondering. As you know, I'm going to be doing somehting with my car this summer...just can't decide what yet. I want to do a H/C/I package. now, it is pretty expensive as far as mods go, and, I was thinking, if I'm spending the money on it, would it be better to just spend the money on a supercharger instead? Would the Supercharger package end up being a lot mroe money in the long run? What would be safer/more reliable? What about cost/hp?

Re: question

what H/C/I package are you looking at?
what superchargers are you looking at?

ive posted my h/c/i setup, but that is with almost all the extras i could get. im probably going to be buying the 4.3 longrod crate engine. and then start saving up for a procharger. but to answer your second question.

hp/cost

the supercharger has more hp than an NA, im sure many will jump in on this one to help you out, as the have with me in the past

Re: question

a mild/average SC setup will put out the same power~ range as a H/C/I setup. Sure the blower will do more if you turn up the boost just talking about a lower boost level. I personally would build the motor before I stuck a blower on it. You could buy a used motor and start building it~

Re: question

looking at super six motorsports...thought of getting a local guy to P&P everything......but I figured may as well spend the cash and get a quality set-up. how much safer is the H/C/I swap than an SC setup?

Re: question

High mileage engines and putting alot of air and fuel in em doesn't go well.

You pretty much gonna get the same power levels with both but you can still use 87 on the H/C/I.
