You know, I was thinking about the differences between 3.73's and 4.10's.
Generally, the taller the gear, the more your top end will decrease while rpm's increase. 4.10's will cause your top end to decrease more than 3.73's or 3.55's. But I'd say that's only if you're pushing some considerable hp and reach higher top end speeds. (v6's are speed limited to 115) I wouldn't classify a near stock v6, nor a bolt on v6 at that level. So you would probably be fine with 4.10's in a manual. It might just help your top end. 1st gear might be tricky regarding wheelspin but you should be able to adjust. The loss in mpg's should only be around 1-2mpgs tops on the highway. I would say the performance benefit from the 4.10's would outweigh that slight loss in mpgs.
Either gear ratio, remember to have a tlok installed with the gears and have the car tuned afterward...so your speedometer is correct.
