Looking for 2 295/40sr18's...

Looking to fill in the tire/fender gap. Springs are taking me down 1.6" and the 295/40/18's will get me the rest of the way. Anyone know a good place to get this larger tire? The 295 is to fit the 18x10 deep dish bullit rim.

40 is to tall for the sidewall, I would go with a 35 maybe even 30 depending on how the math works. If you screw with the overall diameter then you mess up your speedo.

I agree with spector, get the 295/35/18s. I have them on my car with and they fill the fender nicely. If you want a bit more drop, maybe remove one of the isolators from the perches.

and remember as the sidewall closes the gap with the fender lip it also raises you off the ground an equal amount.

Re: Looking for 2 295/40sr18's...

Remember guys this is an 05 and they come with an overall taller tire.

My car came with 235/50/18s which is a 27.25" tire. A 295/40/18 is a 27.29" tire so it is actually nearly a perfect height. Just don't expect it to be any "taller" than stock, because it won't be. It's actually almost exactly the same.

This my friends is why you can put 20's on these cars and they look like 18's on the older models.

Re: Looking for 2 295/40sr18's...

The stock tire diameter was around 26 something, with the new tires and rims it dropped it down to 25.3 on the rear. So I wanted to put more meat on the rear and gain an inch diameter inorder to put lowering springs on the rear to drop the fender down 1.6". It was some math but I think it will look good with the bigger tire and drop. Any other suggestion before I begin the surgery?

Here is what I am working with. Had the side skirt painted to match, just trying to fix the gap.
