Re: Fender Rolling

This is a good question, one of which I know well...

The entire issue of needing to roll the rear fender all depends on the rims and how they are setup.

You need to figure out the rims backspacing, once you do this you can take the rim width and subtract the backspacing from it. The number thats left can be no more than 3.5in (MAYBE 3.75 inches).

If you are less than or equal to 3.5in then you are fine and no fender rolling is needed (unless you have on heck of a budge in your sidewall of your tire). If you are above 3.75 then expect to need to roll the rear fenders.

This is what I see on my 03 cobra, should be just about identical on your car, I have an IRS rear end thats different by a little but overall aim for no more than 3.5 and you should be fine.

Re: Fender Rolling

Brandon, you have to remember the IRS sits differently than a SRA car. I had to roll my fenders but I'm lowered more than 2" and run a 295 width rear tire.

To the OP, you shouldn't have any problem if you are running anything smaller than a 295 on a normal offset wheel.

Re: Fender Rolling

well if you get the proper size tire along with the right offset of wheels (back spacing) you should not have to roll the fender. remember when plus sizing to any wheel/tire it is very important to get the correct size tire as this will also effect fuel economy and your speed read outs (mph).

example a 195/55/15 upsizes to 205/40/17
