Re: Won't start

Does it have a distributor? Check the firing order, I've seen this problem on a Jag cap was off 180 degrees.

Re: Won't start

No it has coil pack. I have checked EVERY ignition part getting good fire. Removed oil fill cap to see if timing chain broke and the rockers were moving. What throws me is fire to plugs but they are wet when pull them. WHY wouldnt code reader even power on when hooked up. The check engine light stays on, shouldn't it go off after little bit when the key is on but not started?

Re: Won't start

Maybe it's a crank position sensor. Not sure I think my check engine light goes out after a few seconds, I'll check. Your sure it's the right firing order?

Re: Won't start

If plugs are wet.. Try holding the gas pedal at WOT position, then crank..

If its getting spark, you have fuel.. This may just work.. I've seen flooded engines still have crank/no start issues after letting them sit for days

If you're getting spark, your computer is likely ok, does the code reader connect at all?

Try disconnecting the MAF sensor and cranking again

Is the scanner meant for OBD I ? I believe 1980-1995.? Also have you checked all gaskets and seals? That may be worth while especially if the car was sitting for a long time.

Good call.. though the connectors are different, so he should be able to figure that one..

94-95 3.8s were OBDII
