Question delay

i have a 5speed, 03 v6 and im wondering when i floor it in like first there is a delay ?

That shouldent be a problem just in 1st gear, but a flasher like a xcal2 should help that by advancing the timing.

That's not normal, the repsonse should be nearly immediate in a manual. Don't know what causes it, but I don't think a tuner will help it. Probably something to do with the clutch...

My auto was the same way before I got my xcal2, its the stock timing that causes the delay.

In an auto, that's where I would look, but a manual should be nearly instant, or at least a heck of a lot better than stock auto's response.

Wait a minute...just had a flash back to my old manual days...

When you floor it, I'm assuming this is from a downshift right? Or even just a red light stomp for that matter. You might need to work on your clutch skills just a bit, get better at an even clutch out, gas in motion. Again, if that's even what you're talking about...

There should be no noticable delay. Clutch could be the problem.
