Are you really gonna be satisfied w/400WHP max? Even the new 2011 v6 is be maxed at 400 without diggin into her guts.

I'm directing that to anyone that is building up a v6. You get to a certain point where you have to dig deep to get big power outta that v6. No towards anyone in general just a question for all the v6 guys looking for more power.

Well vettes are better suited to old bald guys with too much money and gold digger girlfriends who can afford those premiums. Unlike the much more tastefull mustangs.

I know I wouldn't be happy with 400 since a termi comes with that stock. That's why I'm gonna leave the sixer at mild bolt ons and spend some serious coin on a Mach 1 or Cobra when I get one.

I mean 400 is damn good for a v6, but I'd rather put the efforts towards a v8 platform. But then that's just me, there are a few members who are and will be putting down impressive numbers from their v6's.

in 2 years ill have the fusion paid off and get my wife a new car. Thow a turbo kit on the fusion call it a daily driver. The mustang could get anything from a built 4.3 to a V10 to a aston martin 6.0 v12 who knows what ill do then.

I know I won't be happy till I make it to the 500 club but I guess 460WHP will have to do for a year then she will get some new guts.That or move on to a whole other car.

That point comes with anything your building short of something that came stock boosted, or an LSX.

Some people were happy with 400 hp

haha everyones wishing they were still 16 and everything. ill be 18 in a little less than a month and i got my mustang for my 17th birthday. didnt pay a dime for it but ive put in a **** load.

They are nice, but I see more of them than mustang GT's around here, and that's sad.

Yeah almost 3k for a stroker kit from supersix, plus throwing down another couple grand for #24 injectors, new pushrods, rockers and a bigger fuel pump. THEN gotta put in a new rear end, clutch, t-lock before a power-adder!


As for me I'm saving up for the new 2011 V6. Motortrend tested one at the track and said it handled the same amount of g's and braked better than a 2009 M3 (with the upgraded package).

im not gonna lie my next mustang will be v8 but i think i made a smart move cause i have saved a TON on insurance and gas in my line of work.....my daily is fun and smoke GT's all day..i get compliments on my car allt he time...pppl cant believe its only a 6 with the way its sounds..i had guy that swore i did a 302 swap so i had to be all "16ish" and pop my hood....nothin can replace a v8 whjen it comes to sound and thats what i really want...i would love the 2011 5.0...but im saving for a ferrari

its all about money brotha....honestly the way my mind works i get more pleasure beating someone in my 6 then i would in an v8 simply because like u say there "slow"....its fun at the next light when they say "HEY WHATS IN THAT THING"...and you say "JUST A LIL V6" LOL...the look on there face is priceless!

Some of us are living with double that...

You really don't need much... This chick "blondiestang" on 6psi was running 12.6's out of her bone stock 3.8L and home built master power turbo kit. All she had was the turbo kit, pump, injectors, and 8.8 out of her auto. 12.6s will keep 75% of people happy for a long time. Most of the "bolt on cammed LS1 guys" that are in the mid 12 range have been happy for years.

I could buy a used term and run 12's stock then spend 1k and still have way more for way less. Mine was 18k w/36k on the clock and 7k for a blower and still cheaper. Its the classic 6 vs 8 battle.
