sct tuner

Okay, humor me on this one.
I've added following mods to a stock 3.8 V-6 CAI, Throttle Body & spacer, Underdrive pulleys, Dual Exhaust. Without the use of a tuner, I'm not getting the full benefit of these mods? It makes sense, but how easy is it to use a tuner? I really don't know enough to go into the car's "brain" and make changes. I see they can come pre-programmed. Simple plug and play???

Yes, simple plug and play. Plugs into your OBDII port under your steering wheel and it's self explanitory from there. You can always purchase tunes from bamachips.com or another site, they'll ask for your list of mods, they make a tune, you get an email back, upload it onto your tuner, and then tune your car with it.

Lol, it gets better. Wait until you spend 400 for gears and a t-lok, then another 300 to have them installed correctly.

Re: sct tuner

Yah it is basically as simple as 19delta said. That's why the handheld tuners are so much more convenient than the chips/resistors. You can have more than one tune as well. Say you want a more conservative tune to save gas, you can have one of those on 87 octane and then have an aggressive tune on higher octane and gain more power.

If your car is an auto, the tuner will drastically change your transmission for the better. It will feel like a completely different car. What the tuner does to your auto transmission alone is worth the money, since they come geared so horribly from the factory.
