What to do next.

So I know I need to get my winglets on, question is what to do?

a.) leave it like it is
b.) chin spoiler and call it done
c.) 99 cobra front + chin & call it done
d.) roush or saleen kit
e.) <insert your idea here>

i say the cobra front with that hood. they have a guy around here with your hood and an 01 cobra front and i love it. it is black though. maybe even the 03 cobra bumper. not a fan of the roush or saleen. id say chin spoiler if you had the stock hood. although that would be the cheapest option

Re: What to do next.

I like it the way it is, that being said a chin spoiler and maybe some 1/4 vents from AM would look good.

Re: What to do next.

The chin spoiler would look good, it'd complete the look along with the grille delete. If you get the 99/01 cobra front, don't get a chin spoiler. Imo it looks bad with that particular bumper.

Re: What to do next.

I always thought it looked odd on that bumper because it curves upward towards the center. I think SVT should have made a special one for the 99/01's like they did for the 03/04's.

I guess if it's done right it doesn't look too bad.

This one doesn't look right to me.

Re: What to do next.

Looks like a 99/01 cobra bumper, smoked headlights/fogs, cobra mirrors, grill delete with the filler panel painted like on the cobras, mach 1 shaker kit and hood. It looks like the lower part of the bumper is painted black, unless its the angle making the chin spoiler look higher.

I like that combo too, looks ready to whoop your ***...I wish they made a silver mach 1. If this is the same mustang I'm thinking of, it's a heavily modded FI v6.

Re: What to do next.

Oh yeah, definitely a 99/01 cobra bumper...there's a local guy selling is 03 SB GT with one on it...it's tempting, but it's got 100k on the clock and I don't know what shape it's really in.

the 99-01 cobra front to me looks best with the stock sides/back if you want to keep the rest stock just go with it.

Yah that's probably the only bumper you can do that with. The roush, saleens, cobra R all need a spoiler or the larger bumper/side skirts to work. Even the 03/04 cobra bumper needs the hood to really look right.

Get the 99/01 bumper, a mach 1 hood/shaker, a pair of bullit/03/04 cobra side skirts and cobra mirrors=pure sexiness

I agree with DDTCM.

Unless you are racing at the track I really see no need for that style wing. If I were you I would go with a more low profile wing.

Just my .02 though.

Yah now that I think of it, that does look good. I remember seeing a black GT online with the cobra bumper and GT hood and it looked sweet. Of course the loud *** procharger and longtubes/magnapacks made it even better

Re: What to do next.

winglets since u have the wing and like it, me personally i would like to see you get the 03 cobra side skirts, front and rear bumper with stainless steel inserts, and wing, since you have 03 cobra wheels. tint the tail lights and blackout the tag panel and don't do the headlights since u already have the one's with the black housing. even with hid's the road is still somewhat hard to see with blacked out headlights. i know from experience on that one.

or to keep it tame mach 1 chin spoiler and winglets and tint the tailights and blackout tagpanel.

i would say go with the lowering springs idea since they are mor expensive and you will save money in the long run since you wont have to spend all that money on lowering springs and you can just get the chin spoiler later on.

Re: What to do next.

I only like chin spoilers on 99-04 GT/V6 front ends other wise they dont work (in my opinion).

If you plan to eventually get one.. why not get one free

If you go with springs you will have to spend more, install them (or pay for it... but install is pretty easy), pay for an alignment, buy CC plates (200 bucks), etc it can get expensive (also shocks/struts perhaps... those are costly if yours are near worn out its good to do those at the same time)

i have to agree here. i learned the hard way. your tires will wear out every 6 months and it will get expensive if you lower your car without getting the other necessities. and with my tires being 330 a piece for the front i would suggest heavily to get the cc plates and an alignment. and if you can afford it shocks and struts.
pretty much a repeat of what spector just said, i'm just emphasizing the importance of it. lol

Yep I agree with Spector and Big_K...might as well go with the chin spoiler for now. Save up and do the suspension stuff at one time...will save on install costs (if you have it done) and be better for the car.

Don't forget to check with John at NQS Performance for springs and cc plates. He'll can get you eibach or h&r springs and maximum motorsports cc plates for a good price.
