Does this Dyno sheet look a little off to you?

Check out the torque curve? I've seen some erratic torque curves but I've never seen an engine lose torque at one RPM range just to jump up higher again later. Any ideas? I got it back from the dyno place after 3 freakin' weeks and 2 days later I get a SES light for Too Rich Bank 1.

This project is really starting to suck, mostly because the dyno place doesn't seem to have a clue what they're doing and there isn't another place for 4 or 5 hrs of driving.

what was the smoothing set to? If you turn that off a dyno looks CRAZY for most cars

It could have been a bit of tire spin here and there too. If it was grabbing, letting go, grabbing, etc it could cause weirdness. Or there could be a missfire going on or other weirdness considering you now have an SES light.

Re: Does this Dyno sheet look a little off to you?

Thanks guys, I didn't know that there was a "smoothing" setting. I haven't a clue at all. The only information I have is the sheet I posted. I'm going to try to tackle the Rich code this weekend.

Yeh...it all depends on how they have the dyno set to print. Alot of smoothing and correcting going into the perfect graphs you normally see. If it was dropping off 10tq and back up several times I might worry...but that doesn't look too abnormal.

Re: Does this Dyno sheet look a little off to you?

I think neither. The paperwork I got says "dyno-mite" on it.

If the dyno has problems reading RPM it will give you goofy lines

Re: Does this Dyno sheet look a little off to you?

never heard of dynomite. lol only thing i could think of is you might have a plug fouling out or giving out under a load but it would be very noticeable and judging by that sheet it looks like all 6 cylinders are firing fine cuz it would have a sudden drop. lol
