Sct Question

Can you check engine codes on another car with livewire while its still locked to 1 just to check code? Example checking codes on my fusion or my mothers mustang?

Re: Sct Question

Good question...aren't you accessing the computer somehow when you check engine codes? If that's the case the tuner might not work since it's locked to 1 vehicle. That's just a guess, I really don't know for sure.

Ive heard you can read codes on any car as long as it is obd compatible. Thats all you can do though.

Couldnt you just take off the tune for a little while? Its unlocked as soon as you do that. It only takes a minute to tune it back.

you only get 6 unlocks (5 actualy) so you would use them up quick that way.

well when you return to stock, it doesnt use an unlock. however, you can still view and clear codes on your vehicle. once you plug it into another car, wouldnt it stay unlocked until you tuned the vehicle? im not really sure on this.

Re: Sct Question

she has an 01

Just wait untill OBD 3 comes out! There going to have RF antenas set out so when you get a cel your cars going to rat you out. Then there going to mail you a emissions test notice and probably fines. Damn Nazi tree huggers.

SCT will read codes on another Mustang when locked. Did it in Tupelo with Rob's on mine. I don't know about other cars.
