Inside out...

Just read an article on modding your Stang over at

The article said to work from inside out... meaning engine mods to bolt-on's.
I see the point in this theory, but it kind of goes against the list posted around here. Any thoughts?

Re: Inside out...

If you know exactly how far you want to go with the car, it's a pretty good idea.

When most people start modding though, they aren't really intending to throw on blowers or nitrous, etc. Most people just start with small things and end up deciding they want more and more. I think this is especially true for the V6 cars. Usually when someone buys a V6, it isn't with the intention of speed being a main priority.

Scary stuff.

Re: Inside out...

If everyone did that, there would be alot of really fast cars and not quite as many engines blowing up lol. Most ppl (myself included) buy bolt on's because they're cheaper and easier for the diy at home.

Re: Inside out...

I suppose that would cut down on wasting money on bolt on's that would have to be removed later. Like CAI for a poweradder, and UDP's for SC's...

Re: Inside out...

if you sit down and plan what you want to do and stick to that plan then you will be fine however you go.
