I lost count a while ago.. I'd guess about $4K start to finish.

Yea... I don't know how much it will make, haven't got it on the dyno yet. Seen these setups make 465+HP and 400+TQ.. we'll see, it's a daily driver so 400 will really be more than enough. My only goal for the car is 400+RWTQ

Re: V6KR - Stroked/Forged/Blown 4.2L 2002

Man if I had the $4k I would do it. I want a 4.2 very bad. That would be a good amount of horsepower for me.

Re: V6KR - Stroked/Forged/Blown 4.2L 2002

All fab and assembly work is done! All I have left to do to call the project officially complete is wire my intercooler pump (will be done tonight) install the new diff. and gears and exhaust. All the pipe went in fairly easy and believe it or not it all fits under the hood. Here are some pics.

Re: V6KR - Stroked/Forged/Blown 4.2L 2002

Got the new exhaust finished up and it's sounding pretty badass. I will be tuning the middle of this week. Last week I had to tear half the front drive off due to a leaking oil pressure tap. Now that everything is back together things seem to be running very well.

Re: V6KR - Stroked/Forged/Blown 4.2L 2002

Amazing job documenting the build, building the car, and doing some of the custom work.

Although I don't understand why someone would spend 4K in this situation. I'm no V6 fan to start with and well, 4K on a similary priced car nowadays would take you well beyond the Mid 400 range even with the additional supporting mods. Your potentional at this point is limited and I myself need plenty of more potential.

Good luck and I love the build.

Ha, at this point I don't understand either. I'm about ready to swap in a 6.0 LS2 with a t56 if this thing doesn't stop with the bugs.
