Re: supercharger worth it?

99-04 GT's have 260 stock, and I think the most you'd get out of every bolt on imagineable would be around 205-208.

Re: supercharger worth it?

yea getting much over 220 on 99-04 v6's with bolt ons is rather hard, but keep one thing in mind... you are a lot lighter than the GT and every 100-120lbs is about 10hp you would have to make up to over take that weight~ so if a GT is 300lbs more than like 3X hp they lose to you... but they do have TQ lol

the M112 2003 cobra blower kit is cheaper and will result in good power.. but no intercooling

I thought the m90 supercharger is for a single port motor and I thought my 98 was a single port? I didn't think I'd have to change anything motor wise that much like I would have to if I wanted the m112.

Re: supercharger worth it?

Oh alright. So how hard is it to do the m90 kit? I'm not looking for anything really expensive. Since I'm sorta saving for a cobra. I just wanna make my car a little faster.

Re: supercharger worth it?

buy a super coupe engine and start swaping parts lol, also you will need the intercooler setup, and many many other things. It gets expensive fast.

The 3.8L in the supercoupes are differnet from the single port 3.8L in your mustang. You would have to have the heads/intake/supercharger/fuel probably/piping/exhaust/etc etc etc and the stock engine wont take much boost so its best just to use the entire supercoupe engine since its forged internals.

Re: supercharger worth it?

If you can find a wrecked supercoupe, just steal everything from the engine bay, haha.
