Headlights

I posted before on this topic saying that I had a problem w/ my headlight sockets burn out. 4-5 days ago I changed my passanger headlight socket and was succesful. Today once I had it running after that belt incident I turned my headlights and the driver side headlight was dim. I know something is wrong something more than just the sockets...any ideas what it could be or what I should do to keep both of them going w/o having to worry about them burning?

Re: Headlights

Also my left license plate light burned out. I haven't checked it so I don't know if it's the socket or the light, but I wanted to change the lights to those that the lexus and acuras have. They are clear white lights vs yellow. Anybody know where I can get that type of lights for my car...model # and such?

Re: Headlights

When it comes to electrical problems, unless you have a few days to trace wires and test circuits, I'd take it to a shop and let them mess with it. Might be something simple, might be something complicated. Just went through this a few months ago on my roommate's car, we spend a good week tracing wires trying to find a short, took it to a shop and they had it fixed in under an hour.

Re: Headlights

Yeah, I would take it in. Your other option would be to break out the test light and have loads of fun.

Re: Headlights

I got a test light but I don't know exactly how to do it. What type of a shop should I take it in to?
