AC Problems

Little off topic but same ford family and also a v6: my brothers' ac works but the heating won't work...someone told him it might be the thermostat, but can't find an ac thermostat. Could it be something else, if not, wher do we find an AC thermostat.

Re: AC Problems

The thermostat is in the line going to the radiator. If it is stuck open, the coolant is flowing through the engine too fast to warm up enough to make the heater work. Not really as easy way to check this...but check and see if the car is warming up during normal operation. Also, make sure his coolant is still there, had a friend's truck do the same thing and he had no coolant in it...normally one of those things to check ya know...
