I really dont think it matters. If you are bone stock and you take off the cats it has a ricey tone to me. But if you have Nice cam, P&P intakes and heads it will sound great with the performance mufflers of your choice.

Re: o/r x or h

I would think that the H-pipe might sound a little better than the X on a V6. I know that on the V8s the H-pipe has a little deeper tone. The X-pipe gives them more of a "wail" at higher RPMs. I would assume the same principles would hold true for the sixers.

^+1, i've heard a buddies 6 when he had an O/R X and it sounded nice at idle but under WOT itwas reallyreally raspy and ricey, he put some hi flow bassani cats on it and it sounded MUCH nicer and deeper

Re: o/r x or h

I've got a custom H with 2 high flow cats in the rear and the pre-cats still stock, made my exhaust alot deeper and just a tad quieter when moving from a cat-back dual exhaust w/ convertor to a true dual setup. I'm thinking about Mac LT's soon and trying to keep 2 cats.
