Re: tuners

Are you looking for a handheld tuner?

Can't go wrong with SCT.. You'll be able to set your speedometer to match the gears - and might gain some power, might feel a little smoother but I don't know how much you'd feel Seat- of- Pants, If you had an automatic you'd notice a large difference due to shift pressures/speed (Though you never had that issue to begin with in the 5 speed..)

Re: tuners

Yeah, SCT is much more user friendly than Diablosport. It's pretty self explanitory and easy to navigate through the menus.

Re: tuners

Yah pretty much what those guys said...it is necessary for the gear change so your speedometer is adjusted properly...well I guess you could get a speed calibrator, but you might as well get the tuner, it has tons of uses.

If you want power get a custom tune.

Re: tuners

a tuner is a good thing to get a good brand for but the tune on it is what really matters, its like spending 5k on a top of the line computer and then having to run DOS on it instead of something better~ the hardware is only as good as the software on it lets it be

Re: tuners

yes, i love my sct xcal3, it has more options on it then the diablo to, and its super easy to read, and u dont need a custom tune for what u have done, u can punch it right in the tuner. a custom tune is the best way to go, and u will love the difference it makes, go with sct xcal3.

Re: tuners

I love my diablo but go with SCT simply because everyone who is good at tuning prefers the sct and they will tell u to get one

Re: tuners

if it was me in the market and no good quality tuner was around me I would go with bamachips.com (now americanmuscle.com tunes for life) or vmp (vmp for v6 probably)
