Smile best muffler

What is the best muffler to put on an 09 Mustang to make it sound "meaner"
I had a Ravin on my 00 firebird that sounded awesome. Want to see if I can make this thing sound better too.

Re: best muffler

dual exhaust makes a huge difference in sound compared to a single muffler. and i would suggest getting flowmaster 40 series exhaust. i know it sounds amazing on the 99-04 models, im not sure about the yours

Re: best muffler

id say go with the flow 40s and an o/r h for your car. if you have the money, do the gt rear bumper. it makes it look so much cleaner

Re: best muffler

I honestly can't remember but don't the 05-09 v6's have 1 cutout for the one pipe?
If so I'd get the GT bumper for the duals...it'll look way better and they aren't too expensive or hard to find.

Sometimes you can find a used takeoff bumper for 150 bucks already in your color.

Re: best muffler

yea as said above go with the gt bumper it looks way better
but if not u can use the pypes template to cut out another slot in ur stock bumper which would be cheaper but not look as good

Re: best muffler

hmmm to do it "right" would require the GT bumper .. I'm pretty sure I "could" install it myself (the bumper that is) .. may have to get more tools .. hahahaha .. this will be a slow mod due to funding .. hahaha .. damn it I wanted it to sound mean fast too .. oh well .. I must learn patience .. sigh .. can't do everything at once .. right? ..

Re: best muffler

installing it isnt that hard
the hardest part is some rivets that hold in some wires that are a pain in the *** to get out

Re: best muffler

yea we used a saw to get em out
there was prob a more efficient way tho
but overally no special tools were required
took me and my dad maybe 4 or 5 hours, most of that spent on the rivets

Re: best muffler

Yah it looks like the v6's have 1 cutout on the passenger side in the bumper. It looks like you could match it using a hole-saw to make the other hole...though the GT bumper would look the best. It has the dual cutouts and a flared design around the cutouts that brings attention to the exhaust.
