What is wrong with getting a V8 Mustang like a Cobra or Mach 1? Do you really have to go to the dark side? lol

Well, sorry to hear your hangin up the blue oval and will now be wearing the bow tie, but that doesn't mean you can't stay on ME...hell, there are plenty of members with non mustang vehicles.

You once owned a mustang, so you're always welcome here imo.

I'd see if I could find a 98+ TA. The LS1 is a much better motor than the LT1.

got a bad deal perhaps? that can happen with any vehicle, doesn't make it particular to Mustangs.

Yah, that can happen with any vehicle if whoever had it before you didn't take care of it properly. Mustangs are very good cars and are generally low maintenance.

9 out of 10 vehicles made (imports and domestics) will only need normal maintenance if taken care of the right way...every once in a while there's a bad egg manufactured that is just an engineering disaster.

ooooooooh .. nice!! its the one with the "pointy" nose .. for myself I preferred the more rounded look that came in 1998. I'm sure you will love it I had my 2000 firebird for 10 yrs before I finally traded her in .. and whoever gets her will be getting a real sweet ride. enjoy the TA they are awesome cars .. my GM roots are showing again .. hahahaha .. I will overcome those GM urges I'm sure .. the more I drive and fall in love with my new 'stang .. hehe .. will you be racing the TA? I know some cool mods that can be done to make it "stick" better coming out the shute .. lol .. as well as some other things ..

Re: Sellin the stang.. ;(

Ya i launched it at 3500 rpm the other day and did a burnout. I can already tell traction is gona be a problem. And to every1 else I loved my mustang and im sure down the road I will get a boss 351 or something like it...someday but for now this lt1 suits me fine.

Re: Sellin the stang.. ;(

hehehe .. simple suspension mod can cure that .. back end needs to be allowed to dig down and front end needs to be allowed to come up .. if memory serves me correctly its simple bolt adjustments .. can be done in 30 mins or less ..
I had the same issue on my 'bird and after "loosening" the suspension a tad .. next time at the track I had much better grip coming out of the shute so to speak .. I also would lower the tire pressure in the back tires to about 27 - 29 and run 29 in the fronts ... that helped the tires stick somewhat better as well .. but I'm sure you know all these things ..
