IAT Sensor Location???

Hi All Im New to This Site And Had a Question on This IAT Sensor, First Off Where The Heck Is It? Second Ive Heard Of These ECU Manipulators For It And Does It Really Work! and 3rd Can They Be Moved To a Different Location For Cooler Air.

i Own a 2006 Ford Mustang V6

Already Threw The K&N Air Charger and FlowMaster Exhaust And 20" Rims =) And Now Looking to Put a Little More Under The Hood So Let Me Know If You Have an Idea On Were This Sensor is And If You Have An Image Would Be awesome And What Other Locations Would Be Best To Relocate it And Any Good Sites To Buy Upgrades To The Stock Motor Thanks In Advance =)

Edit: And Whats up With The Hydrolic Clutch On These Things, OMG they are So Hard To Press In And Wutz Up With The Hanging Up on The Gears Speed Shifting Is Definatly Outta The Question With This Type Of Clutch, Is there Anything i Can Do Or Have Done to Change This Issue?

John

Re: IAT Sensor Location???

its on the MAF or internal to the MAF. Basically the resistor changes depenging on the temperature to add/remove fuel to the mixture~ and basically by putting a given resistor to make it stay at one setting rather than able to vary its setting you stick as much fuel as you can into the car. You screw gas milage and get no benifit~ dont do it.

Re: IAT Sensor Location???

First off

Secondly, no, it's not even worth the 2 cents for the resistor that you are paying 25+ dollars for off ebay. That's all it is, all it does is tell the computer you are getting cooler air /the engine is cooler therefore giving it more fuel to compensate for this false reading. So...you're tricking the computer to run your new car in a way it's not designed to run for safety reasons.

Re: IAT Sensor Location???

just for reference would you or anyone happen to know the exact location of this sensor or is it truly intergraded into the maf which makes it a 2-1 sensor because my maf has about 5 wires on it so it would make sense if its intergraded?

Re: IAT Sensor Location???

it is integral with the MAF sensor on the new mustangs . on the older cars it was a seperate sensor that was plugged into the intake tube
