Re: paint

You did a good job! I've always wanted to paint just the word mustang on the dash sonic blue but I'm too scared I'll mess it up.

i have mine done.. i used a bottle of touch up paint. the brush was fine enough. i must say, it does take a steady hand!

i too have the same pieces painted to match my torch red. my interior was factory black/grey but the door panels didn't match the dash since they were all grey so i also removed those and painted the top portion black to match the dash.

i also painted the pony on the steering wheel

don't have any good interior pics, but i guess i need to take some to post up.

I would love to see pictures of it!! I was going to buy the touch up paint and do it myself but I can be such a clutz! I also wanted to do the pony on my steering wheel. Badass!

Re: paint

for the few spots i did slip, i used a nail file with a piece of napkin to 'scrape' the edges. the pony cracked and chipped after a while, so i need to redo it but the mustang letters are still in good condition as there are no hands touching it.

Could use some of that liquid mask stuff at the hobby stores...or some Play Doh, lol. It would mask off the direct areas around the lettering and then use some painter's tape and newspaper for the more distant areas to cover overspray.

Thanks! I friggin' love Hobby Lobby and I might have fun playing with the play doh first anyway.

Stang00,
Don't do that. That will defeat the purpose of the whole magnet. They aren't supposed to know.

Re: paint

You got to be stealth mode with the ***** magnet stuff. They aren't supposed to know until it has already happened ... or never.
