i had gotten these before i wrecked and i didn't like them. they weren't dark enough for me. but then again if i go too dark its a hazard at night.. covers are a different story, but i need a new set of lights, not just covers..

Re: head lights

I like the projectors. I'd go with those.

Re: head lights

I'd go with the second ones.

I don't like the look of after market projector headlights.

Re: head lights

I absolutely love my smoked headlights with clear corners. best looking lights imo. Those look like them in the second link. Projectors just dont belong on our cars. Im sorry. Get the tint if they arent dark enough.

Re: head lights

I personally don't think projectors belong on mustangs in general, and I hate them with a passion on the 99-04's. But that's just my opinion.

I like the dark smoked headlights with clear corners the best...could be because I just bought a pair and love them

I've seen those on a red mustang like yours and it looked sharp. Plus you don't want the light housing to be too dark or else you won't be able to see **** at night...and the popo will be more likely to be on your case.

Re: head lights

Honestly go with some stock ones or stock cobra smoke. I purchased a set of dark smoked lenses, however I could not see **** on the road and felt much better once I purchased some stock-cobra lenses. The look was great and I were to buy again it would be for shows and weekend sun only. Just an opinion.

Re: head lights

thanks guys for all the input.

pretty sure i'm going with the second option or possibly something else, but not projectors. i saw an 03 yesterday with projectors and did not like the look of it at all. i was thinking the ones in my post weren't too over the top and didn't show the 'projector' part of them very much, but the ones i saw are very similar, if not the very same head lights.

Re: head lights

If you want projectors/hids look here Gauging Interest: Retrofit HID Headlamps

otherwise dont bother as everything aftermarket thats out looks horrible.

Re: head lights

Definitely get the AM Dark Smoked! I'm getting those next with HID's and taking off the covers as soon as I can because I can't see **** at night. I have the stock '04s but they aren't dark enough for me.

I am not a fan of the Projector lights on Stangs but to each their own.

Re: head lights

there is a group buy going on on that link (same area where the orig thread is i think) for 725 thats the RIGHT way to do HID/Bi Xenon headlights~ but you can save a ton by going with new headlights and getting some brighter OEM spec bulbs.

I got the one's ^^^^^ at ebay for $129 shipped to your door, great lights, sealed up good and no moisture, the packing was excellent, I had to replace them because some 81 yr old man didn't like my front end, turned out he didn't know he had to have insurance.
