Question M90?

Magnuson 4th GEN Eaton MP90 M90 Supercharger : eBay Motors (item 140419207025 end time Jun-25-10 09:07:13 PDT)

If I bought this could someone help me out as to what else I would need to have the whole set up to put in my car? I'm just thinking about doing something like this and I wanna know how much it would end up being. So if someone knows all the parts I'd need and how much they are that would be great.

Re: M90?

You need about... 1000$ more in parts to be honest.

Re: M90?

Really? That's disappointing. I wasn't thinking it would be that much.

Re: M90?

you basically need the entire supercoupe tunderbird engine to pull it off, not as easy as just bolting it on, both might be 3.8L engines but they are different enough so its not easy to manage.

Many are doing the M112 superchargers and custom adaptor plates (the hood is an issue in clearance but they may have solved that) and they are getting good results for about 1500-2000 in total price~ mysteedperformance.com has info

Re: M90?

sorry, but at least you didnt buy other parts you cant use without tons of mods. If you purchased it resell and you wont lose much if any.

Re: M90?

I didn't buy it. I wanted to see what else I would need first.

Re: M90?

Yea I wanted to. But I don't have all that money. I wish I could find an old super coupe and take the motor. It would make it so much easier.

Re: M90?

So I might have found a motor. Someone help me out here. I emailed the guy and asked about it and here's what he said....let me know what you guys think and if it's worth it?

*The motor has around 100k. This is in long block form right now (oil pan to valve covers and lower intake). I have all the parts to complete it except the harmonic balancer. Headgaskets were done around 80k.*Ran great, car was totalled.** Looking for $350.00 for this motor with the accessory brackets, alternator, P/S pump, A/C compressor, coil pack, fuel rail and injectors, exhaust manifolds and wire harnesses. Basically everything needed to make it complete.
*
*I have a couple superchargers. One has been painted red and previous owner said it was rebuilt. Needs a pulley. The intercooler tubes are red as well. Looking for $260.00 for this with the inlet and outlet plenums, intercooler, tubes, throttle body, and*mass air flow sensor.
*
*The other supercharger is in good shape, just needs the case refinished as the paint is peeling. Looking for $180.00 for this unit with the same accessories as above.

May be willing to work a package deal, just let me know what you have in mind.

I also found another guy who said I can take whatever I want off his super coupe for 500. It has everything. Someone tell me everything I will need.
