Re: 4.10 long trips

If you are wondering about gas mileage...expect to notice a difference in the rpm's you cruise at and the gas mileage. If you can't afford to pay for a little more gas, then don't get the 4.10's.

Re: 4.10 long trips

you will get worse gas milage and it will be at a higher rpm so probably more annoying sound wise~ but its not the end of the world.

Re: 4.10 long trips

its not even that bad, i saw my highway MPG go down like 1-2mpg at best... and i cruise at 80, so roughly 2800-2900 RPMs

Its not an extra load on the motor... it lets it rev quicker and easier actually. You'll be find, theres countless mustangs out there running 4.10s not having any problems

Re: 4.10 long trips

gas isnt even a real big problem... if you dont have a lead foot around town youll probably notice a raise in gas milage. The highway it will drop a couple mpg, but nothing crazy. Go for it, itll feel like a whole new car with 4.10s

Re: 4.10 long trips

Yupp, be sure to correct your speedometer as well. Don't want you getting a ticket b/c you don't know how fast you were going. At least this way you'll know you're speeding before getting pulled over.

for sure... it wont cost anything extra because your differential will already be all taken apart.

Re: 4.10 long trips

Yes, it shouldn't cost anymore to have a t-lok installed, and they're gonna have the whole unit out.

if you can't afford the extra gas then you are in the wrong car for moddifications.. especially once you guys make that v8 jump like you all do.
