Suspension questions?????? CC plates? Panhard bar?

Hi everyone,
I have a few questions for the experts here....I have a strut tower bar on my 2010 v6 stang, will CC plates work with that? I have FRPP lowering springs going on soon and I dont want the alignment to be messed up..I was told by part distributer that with the FRPP springs there was no need for CC plates or Panhard bar however I just want to be 100% certain that I'm not gona have tire wear prematurly...So my questions....Panhard bar, is it a good idea to have one? CC plates good idea, will they fit with strut tower bar? Any other must haves for lowering? I was thinging lakewood 50/50 shocks for the back? Maybe? No? Am I way off here?? HELP!! Thank you all!

Re: Suspension questions?????? CC plates? Panhard bar?

ive seen quite a many 05+ take a regular drop (nothing major and im sure the ford springs are not a huge drop) and align just fine. Only one way to find out though... they make different types of adjustment techniques, CC plates, or adjustments at the bottom of the strut as well can be used. I am not sure you can run CC plates and a strut bar~ never noticed anyone doing that but im sure there is some setup that makes that all work.

On the SN platform, you could run CC plates and a strut bar. I'm thinking you can with the new body style as well, but, I can't say for sure as I haven't seen either installed in one yet.

'most' strut bars should fit fine with CC plates. Based on your previous post, you are doing a fairly mild (~1" drop), I would think you should be able to get it into spec or very close with stock parts. As the panhard bar is really a seperate part to put on and not dependant on anything else, I would wait until after you put the springs on, eyeball the rear-end and then determine if you want a panhard bar.

Re: Suspension questions?????? CC plates? Panhard bar?

Every S197 needs a panhard when its dropped, even with the FRPP springs. The rear end will be a little off but nothing major. Put it this way.....I am super anal when it comes to my cars appearance and I didn't do the panhard bar (yet, lol) because it barely off center. I will slap one on later but its not that big of a deal for me to worry about it now. As far as the CC go,if you see a little lean or butterfly effect of the front tires,go with the CC plates. I have the FRPP springs and no butterfly on the front at all.
