RPM and gear troubles

Let's say i wanted to lower my rpm, how could this be done I've heard the torque converter can accomplish this. See i had a motor swap but my when my gears change theres a small problem. it rises to like 3000 then drops to lets say 1500 how can i make the switch between the gears more easier than having to exhert so much power to the motor? thanks

Re: RPM and gear troubles

if you get a custom tune, they can chage ur shift points. if u just get a canned tune, they will change to pre-set settings. which gears r in there now?
