swapping a 96 mustang 3.8 with a 2002 3.8

we have done the swap but the 02 engine is running rich and bogging down

Do we need to change the pcm out or have it reprogrammed for the 02 engine

are there any other issues we should check?

It runs worse with the front o2 sensors plugged in

I am going crazy at this time with this car

Right now nothing. Thinking about putting 96 intake, wiring harness, and injectors on engine

Can't find answer from anyone if this will work or not

Will single port intake even fit the 2002 motor?

Why would you want to do that ?? you'd would be better off getting the PCM from the 2002 also you now have 21 injectors the 96 had 14

You need some sort of tune, or its not going to run right and you could result in engine damage. A haynes manual would do you no good here, but if you did the swap i'm sure you know that...

Also, since its an 02 engine, did you delete the IMRC's in the lower inake?

Might just need to put the old injectors back in it and see how that runs.
