Exhaust

Ok I don't have special privileges yet, but I need to get a driver side over the axle exhaust pipe. Also, what will be needed to make the switch to dual exhaust, I have a o/r h-pipe, I will need the over the axle pipe and muffler and hangar brackets and clamps, is there anything else im missing.

Thanks

Re: Exhaust

when I had mine done I had a shop cut where the two pipes come together (before that point enough to put two new pipes in) then run a new pipe on each side back to where a GT muffler sits (you will need a hanger to hang the muffler on the passenger side) then I had them fab up the over the axle part~

You can buy a GT take off exhaust and have a shop fab up the connection~ or you can buy a dual exhaust adapter pipe then just install it and bolt up any GT catback you want.

Re: Exhaust

Ok as I wait for about 5 different packages to arrive, what will be some issues that I will occur when I make the switch to dual exhaust, I will be going with a pypes off-road h-pipe, gt over axle pipes to flow 40's with 3.5" tips. I know I have to remove the cats will the h-pipe clamp right to the stock headers, will I have to relocate the o2 sensors. I'm not worried about the bumper I have a dremel kit and the tools to make a nice cut. Just want some info for a smooth install.

Coming soon

Re: Exhaust

Not sure of the 05 and up, but when I replaced my stock H pipe/y-pipe (which unbolted at the headers) the cats came off because they are attached to the stock Y-pipe, thus there was no need to remove cats seperately. The pipes off road H-pipe will have to have the 02 sensors installed, however you may need a 02 sensor extensions (basically just longer cables to reach the sensors). I don't necessarily think you will have to relocate the sensors in a different position, however they will have to be installed into the new H-pipe. Not sure if this helped, but good luck.
