I recently purchased a new battery for my car, and now the battery reader on the dash says the charge is High. How is that possilbe that a brand new battery is already overcharging?

I'm not a target in the sights of your mercy. I've never asked for anything. I'm not asking now.

Re: Battery Overcharging?

stock gauges are pos... the only ones i trust are the fuel(which even isn't that accurate) and temp gauge.

Re: Battery Overcharging?

I changed the battery because i was going back to school, and that means im going to be putting on an extremely high amount of miles and plus the battery was already 7 years old.

Re: Battery Overcharging?

I wouldn't be concerned about it. The stock gauges are about as accurate as a thing that's not very accurate at all.
