Ride Height Change

Ok I have a set of frpp lowering springs (1.5") on my car, I just installed a UMI adj. upper control arm and j & m extreme lower control arms, when I lowered the car back down the ride height in the rear shifted up, it looks like it is setting on stock springs again, would this be just the adjustment on the upper control arm to bring the rear back down again.

Re: Ride Height Change

if just installing those parts raised the car up then something could be in a bind or the lower control arms could be longer or something? but that doesnt make since.

You install poly or stiffer/thicker isolators with the lowers? They may also have a higher perch (same difference as thicker isolators). Does their FAQ or anyone you talked to on their end mention that this happens?

Re: Ride Height Change

It is poly with the lowers. It just seems strange for it to back that high, also considering it puts more weight on the front wheels now.

Re: Ride Height Change

the weight it puts i dont think would alter it that much, its probably the poly bushings, take them out and just see how it changes.

Remember you have poly in top and bottom and that can add up to be QUITE a bit of increase.

Re: Ride Height Change

After back and forth deliberation it appears to be just the drivers side that is up, not sure if the panhard bar has anything to do with this or not, the passenger side sets at 27 5/8" and the driver side is at 28 1/8", the measurement was from ground to the bottom of the fender.

Re: Ride Height Change

hmmm make sure you are on level ground, you can probably rather easily unbolt the panhard to check for binding. Jack the car up to see if the suspension travels smoothly as well. Take a pic on the ground and jacked up and compare the tire position it shouldnt shift that much in pushed in/out
