Re: cool air intake

Any of the major brands will do. Its more of a looks thing than performance so just buy one you think looks the best with your car.

Re: cool air intake

yea, you may pick up a tiny bit of power, say 5rwhp maybe~ and the sound will improve (slight whistle at the right rpm). any good brand is fine, ebay has a ton but quality on those are not top notch generally (the no name or cheap brands that is)

Re: cool air intake

Yeah exactly any brand will do. I got mine at Americanmuscle.com for like $70 if I remember correctly. Just get a regular one it'll work the same as a BBK.

Re: cool air intake

also do not buy one of those "chips" that modify the sensor on the intake its 100% worthless... they are all over ebay.

I not knocking the ebay item, I would buy it from ebay before I bought a jlt, I did buy a jlt a couple yrs ago and sold it, I see lots of jlt's being resold all the time so that should tell you something. Jay tucker's is great for show cars or termies but a rather stock car save your money or buy the ebay one, JMO

Re: cool air intake

I went with BBK and their larger throttle body. I did get better throttle reponse and the mpg increased (not that I was after that). I know that when I get my procharger in the next couple of yrs I won't need the cold air intake anymore but I like it.
