Unhappy Help quick! Abs module!

SO MY ABS LIGHT USED TO TURN ON AND OFF AND LIKE A MONTH OR TWO AGO IT DECIDED TO STAY ON.

I HAVE A FRIEND AT THE SERVICE PLACE AT THE FORD DEALER AND HE SAID IT WAS THE MODULE WHICH NEW RUNS FOR ABOUT 800. I ORDERED THE PART LAST WEEK FROM PRESTIGEMUSTANG AND GOT IT INSTALLED YESTERDAY BUT THE THING WAS BAD!

I CALLED THE PLACE AND THE GUY THAT WORKS THERE AND SEEMS TO RUN THE PLACE (TODD) SAID I COULD SEND IT BACK AND HE WOULD SEND ME A NEW ONE. HE SAID HE JUST GOT A GT MODULE WITH TRACTION CONTROL AND IT WOULD WORK ON MINE JUST FINE (MINE HAS TRACTION CONTROL TOO BUT IS A V6) ANY CLUE IF IT WILL WORK?

UGGHH AND BEFORE I BOUGHT IT I CLEARLY ASKED IF IT WAS WORKING

THANKS!

Re: Help quick! Abs module!

If you would have your friend to scan it and get back to me with the code that you find. Once you have the code I will look it up on Mitchelle and tell what tests you will need to run to figure out what you need to replace. If you do find out it is a module then I would buy one from a wrecking or salvage yard it shouldn't cost more then about 185 dollars. I do not find any service bullitens that tell me these have a problem with the modules so no reason a used one won't work and most yards do give a short warranty. As for is the GT is different from the 6 cyl one I do not think it is but give me the year and and part number off the old one and I will check that too.
