ok, i have a sister (28 year old), she buy a mustang v6 2001 in white , the stang is stock right now. she wants some minor mods like true duals and CAI, she can use a k&n CAI or BBK CAI with the stock TB? or needs to upgrade to 65mm TB?

you can get a cai that will work perfectly well with the stock CAI. An aftermarket larger throttle body is worthless on the 3.8L v6 until you have FAR more hp/tq than it will most definatly ever see so dont worry about upgrading it.

the K&N is rather expensive and it looks black, you can get a chrome one from MAC for like 180~

i have a BBK CAI in my black v6 2001, is like the same of yours, but mine the blue silicone hose is bigger than my TB, so dont feet very well, maybe later i ll buy a hose 3' and 2.5' in the other side. another question , the bbk or mac(or that type of cai that the filter is in the fenderwell) is a safe CAI,

i mean the risk for enter water in the motor is the same for MAC and K&N, or K&N is more secure??

only way water is gonna come up is if you go through huge puddles of water on purpose other then that your good. I have BBK I likie

so your TB connection isnt tight? the hoses have to be clamped down tight
